Friday night's season opener saw the world premiere of Kreiten's Passion for orchestra, mixed choir and baritone.  The Duesseldorf Symphony, conductor John Fiore, baritone Andreas Schmidt were joined on stage by Rudi martinus van Dijk and Heinrich Riemenschneider during a long standing ovation the sounds of which resonated throughout the Tonhalle.
